First 5 Sonoma County is recruiting for a vacancy on the 9-member First 5 Board of Commissioners, to be filled by a local representative of either TK-12 public education systems or systems of early learning and care (Resource and Referral agencies, Child Care Planning).
Candidates should have deep knowledge of the current needs, interests and concerns of Sonoma County’s TK-12 public education systems and how they support the needs of young children OR serve in a leadership role in either a Child Care Resource and Referral Agency or the Child Care Planning Council.
This recruitment also prioritizes the Commission’s goal of increasing representation of Black, Indigenous and other People of Color in the governance of First 5 Sonoma County as members of the Commission.
