Denisse is a daughter of immigrants, born in Mexico and raised in the heart of Napa Valley. A proud first-generation college student, she earned her degree in Sociology from Sonoma State University. Her journey has been shaped by compassion, a strong commitment to community, and a deep passion for uplifting and advocating for the Latine community.
With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, Denisse has led both direct service and program development efforts grounded in community-identified needs. She is a certified doula, community health worker, trained lactation specialist and a certified medical assistant. Her work is rooted in dignity, trust, and connection—always guided by the same care and respect she would want for her own family.
Supporting families—especially parents—is at the heart of her purpose. Denisse believes that when caregivers are supported, children are more likely to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Now a first-time mom, Denisse’s work carries even deeper meaning. Her son inspires her daily to see the world with curiosity and wonder. Family is central to who she is, and she brings that same warmth, dedication, and intentionality to her work—helping families grow strong, connected, and supported.
