Wade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">The Supreme Court\u2019s decision on June 24<sup>de diciembre<\/sup>&nbsp;to overturn Roe v. Wade rolls back 50 years of women having the right to make informed decisions about their health care&nbsp;and access to safe and legal abortions. This tragic decision threatens the health, privacy, and well-being of&nbsp;all families, but especially women, trans and nonbinary individuals who may bear children. While our own state continues to protect these rights, there is no doubt that existing inequities for families and children will be further exacerbated by the consequences of this decision along race, equity, and poverty lines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">First 5 Sonoma County strongly denounces this Supreme Court decision because it is a direct threat to the safety, well-being and opportunity to thrive for our youngest children&nbsp;and their caregivers.&nbsp;The work of First 5 is focused on children\u2019s healthy development and driven by our commitment to equitable access to healthcare, housing, education and family economic stability.&nbsp;We will advocate for policies that support reproductive justice, affirm&nbsp;the right to choose, promote racial, gender and economic equity and we encourage our fellow community members to stand with us.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-container-63010df658094 wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Nora Mallonee Brand,&nbsp;<em>First 5 Sonoma County Commission Chair<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Supervisor Lynda Hopkins,&nbsp;<em>First 5 Sonoma County Commissioner<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">Angie Dillon-Shore,&nbsp;<em>First 5 Sonoma County Executive Director<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court\u2019s decision on June 24th&nbsp;to overturn Roe v.
