Become a First 5 Commissioner

The First 5 Commission is seeking a parent representative with a child or children age 0-5 who has utilized services funded by First 5 Sonoma County.

This is an opportunity to provide a local parents’ perspective as a member of First 5’s governing  board that oversees investments to support underserved and under resourced families in Sonoma County. Your voice and experience are valuable to the work of the Commission.

The First 5 Commission is interested in increasing the diversity of representation on the Commission and is committed to reducing barriers and an inclusive process.

What is involved in being a commissioner?

·    Attend monthly commission meetings

·    Serve as a member of a committee

·    Commissioner commitment is a two year term with maximum of three terms

·    Per diem compensation and reimbursement of selected expenses, including child care, transportation and the cost to attend virtual meetings.
