Meeting agendas are posted 72-hours prior to every Commission meeting in order to provide adequate notice to the public of what discussion and action is to occur.\nPublic Participation Guidelines for Monthly Commission Meetings\nThe First 5 Sonoma County Commission encourages and welcomes the participation of the public on matters related to the Commission’s business. Commission meetings are conducted in compliance with the Brown Act(California Government Code Section 54950 et sec.). The Brown Act is intended to promote transparency and public trust in government through procedures that ensure fair and equal public access, attendance and participation. Brown Act procedures also preserve the integrity of the decision-making process via open deliberations and actions of the Commission.\nNotification of Agenda\nMeeting agendas are posted 72-hours prior to every Commission meeting in order to provide adequate notice to the public of what discussion and action is to occur. Subject to very limited exceptions, the Brown Act prohibits the Commission from taking any action or discussion of an item not on the posted agenda. Meeting agendas and minutes can me found here ( https://first5sonomacounty.org/commission-agendas/ ).\nPublic Comment\nAs authorized by Governor Newsom’s Executive Order, N-25-20, dated March 12, 2020, the meeting will be held via teleconferencing with members of the Commission attending from separate remote locations. The meeting will be convened virtually via Zoom where members of the public shall have the right to observe and offer public comment. This altered format is in observance of the recommendation by local officials that certain precautions be taken, including social distancing, to address the threat of COVID-19.\nPublic Comment is taken on each Agenda Item.  \nMaterials related to any item on this Agenda submitted to the Commission after distribution of the agenda packet are available for public inspection at 5340 Skylane Blvd., Santa Rosa, CA 95403 during normal business hours.
