Yanin (she/her,ella) is a proud daughter of immigrant parents. She is honored to be a descendant of the Purépecha People of Michoacan, Mexico. She was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA, and started volunteering for local non-profits at 14 and was hired by one of those organizations at 19. Yanin leads with her heart as she grew up with the principle of *“donde cabe uno, caben dos y donde comen dos, comen tres”. Although her mother was a single mother, she always found a way to help others and Yanin hopes to one day have a heart as generous as her mother’s.

Yanin was the second in her family to graduate from high school and the first to receive three associate degrees from Santa Rosa Junior College. Due to burnout Yanin had to take a break from school but is now in the process of enrolling back in school to finish her Bachelor’s Degree.

During her spare time, she can be found hyper-fixating on a new hobby (cooking, baking, kayaking, DIY crafts, and the list keeps growing), spending time with family and friends, and of course, taking her dogs out on new adventures.
