Jeff is a pediatrician educated at UC Santa Cruz and UC Davis School of Medicine. He retired in 2009 from a 34 year career with Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa, as a general pediatrician, chief of pediatrics, Northern California chair of pediatrics and and chief of health education.
Children’s health has been Jeff’s hobby as well--he served for many years as board member and president of California Parenting Institute and CARE Children’s Counseling Center, and worked with Healthy Kids Sonoma County. His volunteer clinical work has included teaching medical UCSF students and Family Medicine residents, and ongoing volunteering at Roseland Children’s Health Center. In the last few years he has been part of the Sonoma County Oral Health Coalition and teaches healthy eating and active living to kids, parents and professional groups with the HEAL program.
Jeff has been married to Phyllis Miller, a retired teacher and school volunteer, for 40 years. They have two grown children, and two grandchildren who continually remind them about what is important in life.
