Executive Director - Angie Dillon-Shore, M.A., M.Ed.

Angie has nearly 30 years of experience in the human services and education fields with a focus on supporting families and children impacted by poverty, violence and structural inequity.  She possesses dual Master’s degrees in special education and counseling and spent the early part of her career teaching children with special needs. Most recently, Angie was with Sonoma County Human Services Department where she worked on collaborative local systems change efforts including Upstream Investments, READY and Cradle to Career.

Prior to joining Human Services, Angie served as the Director of Healthy Communities Programs at Community Action Partnership, overseeing school readiness and parent education programs including First 5-funded AVANCE and Pasitos.  In 2013, she led the development of the Via Esperanza Family Resource Center in southwest Santa Rosa in collaboration with Santa Rosa City Schools. In addition to many years serving in the non-profit sector, Angie worked on the statewide Child Abuse Training and Technical Assistance project, building capacity of California’s family and child serving agencies to prevent adverse childhood experiences and promote resiliency. She currently sits on the Board of the Center for Innovation and Resources, a statewide organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect through ongoing professional development and advocacy.

Angie Dillon-Shore 100x126A message to First 5 Sonoma County Stakeholders - I am profoundly honored to have the opportunity to serve as First 5 Sonoma County’s Executive Director. I’ve dedicated my career to advancing the interests of children and their parents through increasing access to and improving the quality of early intervention and prevention services – joining First 5’s team is a wish fulfilled. The strategic investments made by First 5 are absolutely critical to ensure that every child in Sonoma County, prenatal to age five, has an opportunity for a bright future. I truly believe that every community member benefits when children are healthy, safe and nurtured and I enthusiastically look forward to partnering with Commissioners, community providers and staff to achieve the vision of First 5 Sonoma County.
