Community Action Partnership of
Sonoma County (CAPSC) proudly announces a financial award in the amount of
$606,095 from the Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for
Children and Families - Office of Head Start (OHS).
This funding is in support of an
OHS mandate to increase the duration of services to Head Start children
promoting school readiness. Comprehensive services are the cornerstone of Head
Start, which include health, nutrition, mental health, family partnership, and
full inclusion of children with special needs.
This award helps demonstrate
CAPSC's commitment to creating a safer, healthier & more prosperous Sonoma
County as it celebrates its 50th anniversary year in 2017. Along with
celebrating the achievement of serving 8,000 to 9,000 individuals annually,
CAPSC looks forward to continuing to adapt to the ever changing educational
landscape in order to best serve children and families through the commitment
and hope of Head Start!
